The Midcontinent Independent System Operator (“MISO”) has announced the selection of Viridon to lead project development and implementation of the Wisconsin Southeast Competitive Transmission Project (“WISE”).
The WISE project comprises approximately 106 miles of 345 kV lines and four 345 kV substations in Wisconsin. This new high-voltage infrastructure will help meet growing electricity demand, support the integration of new energy sources, increase reliability, and strengthen the region’s transmission grid.
“We are honored by MISO’s selection and look forward to close collaboration with local communities, Wisconsin state agencies, and other key stakeholders on this vital project,” said Jeff Dodd, president of Viridon Midcontinent. “Together we are working to enable a bright energy future for Wisconsin and the Upper Midwest.”
